What a Year! Reflecting on 2024
As we celebrate AMIP’s 14th anniversary, 2024 has proven to be a milestone year filled with unprecedented growth, engagement, and innovative opportunities for our members and the community.
Key Highlights:
Quarterly Events: Our Workforce & Innovation events showcased leading trends in manufacturing, innovation, leadership, and empowerment.
Monthly Workshops: We tackled timely topics like hiring Veterans, leveraging taxes and incentives, conducting effective tours, and recruiting Gen Z and women into the workforce.
Exciting Launches:
MakeItCincy.org: This outward-facing website amplifies public awareness about the incredible manufacturing career opportunities in our region.
AMIPCincy.org: Our redesigned, member-focused platform delivers valuable resources and insights to our partners.
Strategic Partnerships for Workforce Development:
We’ve deepened collaboration with three key recruiting and training partners:
Cincinnati Youth Collaborative / Cincinnati Works: Empowering youth and adults to re-tool their careers.
Lead Training: Creating pathways for high school juniors and seniors to enter apprenticeships and career paths.
AtWork / NIMS: Connecting talent through temp-to-perm employment and tailored company-centric training programs.
Student Engagement and Awareness:
Our efforts brought manufacturing to life with over 100 manufacturing tours, showcasing the industry to students and educators. In October, we participated in the Scouts Peterloon event, engaging 3,500 scouts and parents with interactive activities.
