What does your business create?
We create lower cost electricity and clean energy through solar power.
We engineer and construct solar arrays, including roof mounts, ground mounts, and parking canopies, for manufacturing companies to produce on-site electricity.
What makes you proud to be in the manufacturing industry?
We’re proud to serve the manufacturing industry to lower their operational costs and create an advantage against their competition. Melink Solar believes that manufacturing provides opportunities for our communities by providing economic stability, as well as a wonderful path to a meaningful and well paying career.
What is an example of a career path someone could fulfill at your company?
We have multiple career paths. Careers can begin as an associate construction manager and grow into a construction manager - then progress to associate project manager and then to project manager, and then lead into a senior project management role. There are also more technical paths leading into engineering.
What roles of yours are most critical to meeting your production needs?
There’s no one role that’s critical, as our system is completely integrated starting with the engineering of a solar system to project management and system completion. We utilize a global supply chain for solar panels, electrical components, transformers, steel posts and a vast amount of local technicians for various projects throughout the Midwest. As the largest commercial solar EPC (engineering, procurement, construction firm) in the Midwest, we’re deepening the impact on all of these roles to collaborate together to deliver a reliable system. With that said, the most crucial role is our advocates. With our advocates, future customers have the confidence to create their own sustainability story – financial sustainability.
What do you love most about the greater Cincinnati region?
There is an abundance of European companies and top talent within our reach. Cincinnati is a hub for global connections. Also, Cincinnati teachers are amazing. We have high caliber schools that create wonderful leaders in our community.
